Source: The oil of clary sage is obtained by steam distillation of the flowering tops and the leaves of the oranamental plant which is related to the common sage plant. Native to the Mediterranean region.

Description and aroma: The liquid of the clary sage is a pale yellow colour with a sweet, herbaceous-floral fragrance, but not like the common sage. It has an uplifting aroma and is relaxing; a reputed aphrodisiac.
