Sweet Orange Essential Oil (Seville) Orange (citrus sinensis)

Sweet orange essential oil is obtained from the cold pressing of the rind of there fruits. The aroma of the sweet orange is refreshing, sweet, citrus like fresh oranges. The bitter orange oil has a richer, more subtle scent, this description is for our sweet orange essential oil. Although native to China and the Middle East, these trees can grow in Brazil, the Mediterranean and also the USA. Our sweet orange oil comes from Brazil. Sweet orange has a perfumery note of top. Orange sweet has high levels of vitamin C and is also used in food, perfumery and cosmetic manufacture. The Chinese used orange extensively in medicine. The Roamans used orange flower water after orgies to reduce hangovers.

Family: Rutaceae.

Extraction: Sweet Orange essential oil is obtained by expression, by simple pressuse from the outer, part of the peel. The oil is a deep golden yellow.

Aroma: A fragrance that is characteristic of orange peel and has a zesty and refreshing citrus fragrance.

Oil combinations: Frankincense and juniper berry essential oils will add spice to orange oil, and the adding of cypress provides a lovely clean, fresh scent.

Blends well with: Chamomile, cinnamon, coriander, clove, frankincense, jasmine, black pepper, carrot seed, clary sage, eucalyptus, fennel, geranium, patchouli, petitgrain, pine, rosemary, sandalwood, tea tree, vetiver, lavender and Ylang Ylang.
