The sandalwood amyris essential oil is produced from a small bushy tree that growns wild on the mountains of Haiti. Grows often in small thickets, it is evergreen with white flowers though it is the bark that holds the reinous fluid. The sandalwood amyris essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the wood and branches. The amyris has a musty, dry, burnt woody fragrance.
