The North Africa cedarwood atlas tree grows to over 100 feet high, and the tree is thought to originate from the great cedars of Lebanon. The giant trees were often used to build many of the famous temples. The cedarwood atlas essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the wood of the tree with a subtle, woody and warm aroma, with a perfumery base note.
