Lemon Tea Tree Essential Oil (leptospermum liversedgei)

The lemon tee tree plant is a fast growing shrub, and makes a popular garden plant because it has a lovely fresh, lemon scented aroma. The lemon tee tree is often use in the making of tea's. Grown in countries like Kenya, South Africa and mainly Australia. The essential oil is obtained from the leaves of the plant by steam distillation. The oil can be used for steam inhalation, and is great when used in a vapouriser because of its fresh, pleasant and slightly antiseptic aroma. Properties of the oil: Antiseptic, anti-bacterial, anti-viral and when combined with tea tree oil has a fungicidal action.

Latin name: Leptospermum petersonii.
