Mandarin essential oil has a delicate, fresh, sweet, citrus scent with a perfumery note of top. The tree will grow to about 16 feet in height, with aromatic flowers and shiny leaves. The mandarin is mainly cultivated throughout the Mediterranean, Brazil and North America, but originates from China, the mandarins was brought to Europe in the early nineteenth century. The essential oil comes from the rind of the small orange fruit that is obtained by cold expression. Mandarin is named because the fruits were a traditional gift to the Mandarin lords of china for many centuries, although the fruits did not reach Europe until the 1880s. Today the mandarin is used in fruit compotes and many drinks. Mandarin is also used in soaps, cosmetics and perfumes.

Tranquillity Blend
5ml diluted mandarin oil
5ml sweet almond carrier oil
1 drop pure camomile essential oil
1 drop pure clary sage essential oil

Gently massage a small amount of your blend into the back of the neck, onto the chest and over the solar plexus (this is where the rib-cage makes a v-shape).

Mandarin Mist Spray
You will need a funnel
25ml orange flower water
3 drops pure mandarin essential oil
2 drops pure clary sage essential oil
1 drop pure sandalwood essential oil

Use a funnel to pour the orange flower water into a small plant mister, or other suitable mist spray atomizer bottle. Add the essential oils and shake well. Just before bedtime, lightly spray your pillow and sheets, and allow to dry.

15ml base shower gel
4 drops pure mandarin essential oil
1 drop pure petitgrain essential oil
1 drop pure ylang ylang essential oil
