May Chang oil is native to east Asia and a popular essential oil used in China who is the main producer of the oil. The pale yellow coloured oil is obtained by steam distillation of the fruits of the tree. The (may chang) litsea cubeba is a small tropical tree with lemongrass scented flowers and leaves and fruits that are shaped like peppers.
