Organic Black Pepper Essential Oil (piper nigrum) 10ml

The Black Pepper is one of the oldest spices and medicinal uses of Black Pepper was first described in the seventh-century. The Black Pepper plant is a native of south-western India but is also culivated in Java, Sumatra and many other tropical climates. Berries from the Black Pepper are picked just as they begin to turn red. They are then dried in the sun. The essential oil, or most of the essential oil is present in the skin of the berry.

Main qualitys of Black Pepper oil: A warming oil and invigorating; good for aches and pains. Stimulates circulation and digestion. Also for colds and flu, infections and viruses.

Latin name: Piper nigrum.

Source: The oil is obtained from steam distillation of the dried peppercorn from the woody vine native to south west India. Although the oil from imported peppercorns is distilled in Europe and the USA, most is produced in India.

Description and aroma: A pale greenish coloured oil with a hot, spicy, piquant fragrance. The fragrance has a stimulating and warming smell; a reputed aphrodisiac.

Key qualities: Aphrodisiac, stimulant (mental), tonic (nerve), restorative, strengthening, comforting, analgesic, antiseptic.
