Source: The oil is obtained by steam distillation of the fresh, flowering tops of this evergreen shrubby herb that is native to the Mediterranean region.

Description and aroma: Rosemary is colourless or pale yellow in colour with a piercing, fresh herbaceous scent. Its odour effect is refreshing, and mentally stimulating, but also has a warming quality. A reputed aphrodisiac due to its stimulating effect.
