Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil (eucalyptus citriodora)

The lemon eucalyptus tree is a tall evergreen tree, with smooth, dimpled bark, with blotched grey, cream, and pink. This attractive fast growing tree is cultivated as an ornamental plant, and is also used for its timber because of its straight trunk. The mature leaves are narrow and tapering, while the young leaves are oval in shape. The lemon eucalypptus essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the leaves and twigs. The colourless, pale yellow oil has a strong, fresh, clean, citronella-like aroma, with sweet balsamic undertones.
