Peach Kernel Carrier Oil (prunus persica)

The best quality oil is obtained by cold pressing the kernels and is an essentially odourless oil. Peach kernel oil is suitable for sensitive, dry and ageing skins and makes a good facial massage oil. The peach kernel oil is often used in skin care creams. Non-irritating and non-sensitizing to the skin, and considered safe for cosmetic use.

The plant: The peach tree is a small tree that grows to a height of 25 feet. The tree grows well, for centuries, in an alkaline soil with plenty of sun.

Therapeutic properties: Peach kernel is good for skin protection, emollient, nourishing and slowly absorbed, eczema and relieves itching.

The oil: Peach kernel is similar to apricot kernel oil and sweet almond oil, is largely used in the manufacture of toilet preparations and as a substitute for sweet almond oil.

Extraction method: The best quality oil is obtained by cold pressing the kernels.
